2006
It all began in Vaughan when CEO Joe Barranca founded City Marble, Granite & Stone. Back then, granite was king—and Joe was selling it to every builder and homeowner in the city.
2019
Cava Surfaces is born—a bold new brand built for the top designers, architects, and builders redefining luxury interiors with exotic stone slabs.
2020
Enter Tariq: sales & marketing mastermind. Together with Joe, they launched the ultimate marble and stone destination. Not even a global pandemic could slow the momentum.
2021
Designers took notice. Sales grew. Cava expanded its exotic marble inventory and solidified its home in Toronto’s design district.
2022
Two powerhouses joined the crew:
- Massimo Ferrara, a marble and fabrication expert with 25+ years under his belt.
- Frankie Pignolo, the heart of customer service and a ray of sunshine for every client.
2023
The dream team grew, again:
- Nat Barbiero, a veteran with over two decades of stone mastery.
- Joseph DeSousa, a fabrication pro with unmatched knowledge and serious charm.
2024
We DOUBLED our space! A 25,000 sq. ft. marble paradise—bigger, bolder, and packed with premium inventory.
2025
We won the Best booth – People’s Choice Award at the Living Luxe Design Show! Our booth turned heads, sparked conversations, and proved that unique marble and design creativity crafts masterpieces.
